Roundhay Park Mansion Lane, off Princes Avenue LS8 2HH
Free, weekly, timed, 5k run.
The course starts just past the monument and heads up towards the Mansion house. Just before reaching this point the course takes a left turn across the top of the park towards the park's Street Lane entrance, before once more taking a left turn at the path's end down to the near corner of Hill 60, lovingly known to the run directors as "Gambon Corner". At the bottom of the Hill 60 steps you take a sharp left down the side of the cricket pitch and through the cricket pavilion, following the path to the children's playground and the beautiful Lakeside Cafe.
The route takes its final left hand turn and heads back towards the starting monument - 3 laps and you're finished. The best thing about this outrageously scenic route is that throughout the event you have a clear view of all the Parkrunners taking part at all times, meaning that no matter where you are placed, you can see everybody trying their hardest from first to last, it's guaranteed to be a special spectacle every single week, all year round!
