      February 7, 2016 at 8:58 pm

Hi Jackie, we currently do upwards of 4k in the improvers group with lots of walking and running. We are looking to start a beginners section that will run 1-3k very soon, just awaiting the readiness of a volunteer. Pop down before 7pm on a Monday and we can have a chat, more than happy to discuss what group you could join!

Is there an age limit to who can run on Mondays? Myself and partner would like to join however can our son Thomas, aged 8 also run? He runs 5k every day (PB 25.22) and 2k every Sunday at Parkrun

    • Ben Fraser

      September 29, 2016 at 10:51 am

Hi Laurence, the age limit is 12 years – this is what the group insurance covers and it stands via the run leaders at the session.

    Hello there!

I came to the group on Monday and heard people talking about another group on Wednesdays? Just wondering if this was the case.

    • Ben Fraser

      October 6, 2016 at 11:24 am

      Hi Abigail,

There is ‘unofficial’ group runs on a Wednesday at the Breezers. It will be worth joining the Facebook group under ‘Bramley Breezers’ to keep up to date on this or asking a run leader at the next session to find out more information.

    Just wanted to say!
You could not come to a nicer running group.
Today many of the Breezers including me took park In the 10k pain barrier.
    Wow it was tough!
All the Breezers that took part where in the first Wave of runners except me.
So I started 30 mins after, I expected that as it was getting on a bit and the lovely team would be smelly and cold from the shoulder deep water and mud.

That they would go and get them selves warm and clean.
Yet my lovely Breezers buddies waited for me standing at the end for me.
For Paul one of the leaders to run back to look for me to help me get through the last bit and to finish strong.
I was so humbled they had waited for me. Really no Breezer is ever left behind.
I am so happy that I started park run and joined the Bramley Breezers.
Your all awesome and made me feel like I’m worth something.

Hi, I am interested in joining a running club, I started doing the park run on Saturday mornings but would like to improve my running and hopefully do a 10k this year. I live in armley so your club would be ideal for me. I am just a little nervous about just turning up.

    • Ben Fraser

      January 11, 2017 at 5:39 pm

Hi Christine, thanks for getting in touch. Please don’t feel a little nervous about turning up to the group – the Breezers are a lovely bunch. Once you turn up at the Villager around 6:50pm on a Monday you will see the group congregating in the front entrance so you don’t have to walk far into the place. Find a runner with a clip board and introduce yourself – the signup should take a few minutes and your free to run with the group week in week out at NO COST. If you use Facebook then join the internal group and get chatting to people before you turn up. The link for the FB group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/774098109361344/

Hi Sharon, just turn up at the Villager before 7pm on a Monday and you will spot runners congregating in the front door of the building. Find someone with a clipboard and let them know it’s your first session and they will take it from there. You can find the group on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/774098109361344/ and directly ask any more questions you have…
