Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds is returning to Leeds this June, showcasing the world’s greatest talent in the sport including our very own Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee who took Gold and Silver in last year’s elite event. Plus thousands of amateur triathletes will be taking on the triathlon challenge across the weekend.

If you’re thinking about setting yourself a new challenge or your club mates fancy trying something different, this is your chance to be part of the most prestigious and fun triathlon event in the UK this year – and it’s happening right on your doorstep.

No matter your experience – with three mass participation events over three different distances, as well as a relay – there’s something for everyone.

Sprint distance (Sunday 11 June) – A great option for novice triathletes, with a shorter distance, and you still get to finish across the same iconic blue carpet as the elites in Millennium Square.

Standard distance (Sunday 11 June) – This event will play host to the British Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, and does attract more experienced athletes if you’re looking for a bigger challenge.

Relay (Sunday 11 June) – Teams of three can compete over the sprint or standard distance triathlon course, with each member taking on a different segment of the course. A great option if you want to enter as a team or you’d prefer to either swim, cycle or run instead of all three.

GO TRI (Saturday 10 June) – The perfect beginner option in a fun, relaxed environment in and around Roundhay Park.

Plus there will be lots more activity and entertainment for all the family over the weekend at Roundhay Park, or you can watch the action in Leeds city centre on Sunday.
