Getting Kids Active – A Fun Obstacle Course

Emma Lowe

Lots of us love running, but sometimes it takes an incentive to get the children off the couch and into the great outdoors. Making the run more fun is a great way to do this. Sometimes this can be a new route, running with new people or dare we say it… a sweet treat?

Well, how about an assortment of huge inflatable incentives? At Temple Newsam on Saturday 29th April, Radical Run comes to town. This is a 3km run in the grounds of the beautiful Temple Newsam with a host of fun and challenging inflatable obstacles. These are large inflatables the like you probably haven’t seen before. There are slides to climb up, the ‘Beast’ to scramble through (over 70ft long!), a maze to navigate through, and a ball-pool leap to dive into. Not to mention a space hopper track to bounce round! 8 exciting obstacles stand between the children and taking home a free t-shirt and bag.

As well as the run for children aged 5 to 14, there are free games for younger kids and a great selection of food. Advanced tickets are required and can be bought via runleeds.co.uk/r/book-radical-run/ Only the participating children require a ticket as all adults and spectators are free.

Run Leeds has discounted tickets for all its readers. Use code ‘RunLeeds’ for a 20% discount when buying a ticket via the Radical Run website.
