Kickstart your Christmas and spread some seasonal cheer on Saturday 19th of December at Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club with a ‘Prancer Round the Park’.

There is festive fun on offer for you and all your family and friends – whether you fancy taking on the ‘Prancer trail’, discovering the park with the ‘Xplorer challenge’ or just joining us for a mince pie or two!

Arrive in plenty of time on the day to register and take part in the warm up activity led by a certain bearded man sporting a red suit. He has very kindly taken time out of his busy schedule to join us for the morning!

‘Prancer Trail’

The ‘Prancer Trail’ is a 3 kilometre route that winds its way through Hall Park. Walk, skip, jog or prance round the trail and complete the activities set for you by Santa’s Little Helpers along the way.

‘Xplorer Challenge’

If the Prancer Trail isn’t for you then why not give the Xplorer Challenge a go? Discover Hall Park’s best kept secrets and find the hidden tokens to crack the Christmas code at the end! Ideal for young ones and those with a keen eye for clues.

Be sure to dust off those festive fancy dress outfits and Christmas jumpers as there will be prizes on the day for the most eye-catching!

‘Prancer Round the Park’ hosts, Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club, have decked the halls and will be providing a warm and welcoming base for the event – offering the chance to socialise over a bite to eat and a drink before and after the event.

Following on from this event, we are looking to launch a BRAND NEW adult social exercise group that will be based at the cricket club in the New Year! This group is aimed at those who may be new to exercise or those who are returning to it after a break. Sessions will be fun and will provide a chance to socialise with friends, old and new.

Chairman of Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club, Rob Hodson:

We are delighted that ‘Prancer Round the Park’ is taking part down at Hall Park Cricket Club. It is a great way of attracting new people to this beautiful park and to enjoy our facilities at the cricket club. We hope that it is well attended and that the people within our community will come along and support it

Our club is growing at a fantastic rate since the development of our cafe facility and with a new extension in the pipe line we are hoping to attract even more members. We are keen to encourage the local community to be physically active and hope that creating a new social exercise group in the New Year can play a big part in this

‘Prancer Round the Park’ is FREE to enter but donations will be welcome on the day to Horsforth based mental health charity, Leeds Mind.

Leeds Mind supports people with mental health problems, providing services throughout the Leeds area. Everyone can lead a full, active and rewarding life, and they work with clients to support them in achieving their goals and engaging in their communities.

Physical activity has a wide range of health benefits – for your mind and body, and your social and emotional wellbeing.  Participation in regular physical activity can increase self-esteem and reduce stress and anxiety. Physical activity can help play a role in preventing mental health problems and improve the quality of life of those experiencing it.
