This stunning run, just slightly over 10k, starts with a lovely downhill stretch. Harewood House looking rather grand in the distance. It almost takes your mind off the fact that the run ends with a steady incline up this same hill! Follow the well marked track down and over the picturesque bridge, ignoring any roads which are marked private. The track takes you through a lovely forest path. When you get to a wooden signpost, follow the path left which takes you though part of the Emmerdale set. You will then come to another wooden signpost marked the Leeds Country Way. Here you can decide which direction you want to run the loop of the lasso. This circular part of the route follows field edges with a section on a quiet country lane.

Where to park if travelling by car

There is a small public (free) parking spot for a few cars on Wike Lane. This is just opposite the start of the run, and the junction off Harrogate Road. Just be careful crossing the Harrogate road to get to start, which are the large black the gates into the Harewood grounds.
